Randy’s Pickin’ Parlor LIVE at CPAC

Randy Wood's Pickin' ParlorRandy Wood’s Pickin’ Parlor has been hosting bluegrass and Americana concerts in Bloomingdale, GA for the past few years. Known worldwide as a top luthier and instrument builder for fretted, stringed instruments, Randy has put up a building out behind his shop for live shows, and they have become a staple for folks near or traveling through Savannah.

One special feature of the Pickin’ Parlor shows is that they are streamed live online, and archived on Randy’s site for later viewing. Dozens of concerts dating back to early 2014 are there for everyone to enjoy, featuring top artists like Dale Ann Bradley, The Grascals, Blue Highway, Town Mountain, The Boxcars, and many others.

Randy is taking the same concept to his first bluegrass festival this October in Clermont, FL. The one day outdoor event, Randy’s Pickin’ Parlor – Live, will be held at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, just 20 miles west of Disney World. The Gibson Brothers, Blue Highway, and Balsam Range are scheduled to perform, with syndicated bluegrass radio host Cindy Baucom as MC.

The whole festival will be streamed online, with the broadcast produced by Cody Slatten who has won multiple Emmy awards for his production of live sporting events. Broadcast sponsors are covering the costs for the live stream, so there is no charge for folks who want to join them online.

Tickets to attend the October 24 festival can be purchased from the CPAC site. Music is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m., and run until dark.

Mark the date to watch online if you won’t be in Florida.
