Wimberley Bluegrass Band to the California American Entertainment Hall of Fame

Event Details

Wimberly Bluegrass Band

Many congratulations to the Wimberley Bluegrass Band, composed of the Wimberley siblings from Orange County, CA, on the announcement of their pending induction into the California American Entertainment Hall of Fame.

Danielle, James, Mark, and Michael Wimberley have been recording and performing together since 2008. Danielle plays mandolin, James is on banjo and reso-guitar, Mark plays guitar, and Michael is on fiddle. The family band plays without a bass, and all four contribute to the singing.

The California American Entertainment Hall of Fame, sometimes referred to as the California Music Hall of Fame, honors the artists, musicians, and visionaries who have contributed significantly to the state’s rich and diverse musical heritage. Each year, the organization recognizes those whose talent and influence have elevated California’s place in the global music landscape.

Given that musical artists often move from place to place, the Hall of Fame requires at least 20 years of residency in the state to qualify for admission.

Speaking for her brothers and herself, Danielle says of the induction…

“We have been passionate about the history and art form of Bluegrass since we were kids, so we are truly honored to receive this incredible recognition and to be welcomed into the California American Entertainment Hall of Fame.”

The 2026 induction ceremony is scheduled for April 4 at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Also going into the California American Entertainment Hall of Fame this year are Verdine White (Earth, Wind, & Fire), “Shotgun Tom” Kelly, Carol Connors, Cannibal & the Headhunters, and several others.

Well done Wimberleys!
