Two Rivers from Flashback

FlashbackFlashback, the reunion band featuring former members of J.D. Crowe & the New South from the 1990s, has released a second single from their upcoming debut album to bluegrass radio.

This is the group that recorded the Flashback album with Crowe in 1994, hence, the band name. Richard Bennett is on guitar and vocals, Don Rigsby on mandolin and vocals, Curt Chapman on bass, and Phil Leadbetter on reso-guitar, with Stuart Wyrick on banjo.

They have been working on an album for Pinecastle Records, and sent a first single, Foxhounds and Fiddles, to radio in March. It did very well on our Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay chart, and now a second track is going to DJs and radio folks.

Two Rivers is a new song from Richard Bennett and Shawn Lane, which tells the familiar, if sad, story of losing someone you love, using the metaphor of two rivers that will eventually meet again. It’s a lovely song which you can hear in this image video below.

Radio programmers can expect to receive this track next week. The band’s first album is expect from Pinecastle in 2017.
