Tony Rice under the weather

Guitar hero Tony Rice has had to cancel a number of shows owing to another recent bout of illness.

He was down with pneumonia in November last year, and has been experiencing respiratory and other ailments in recent weeks.

Keith Case with KCA Artists, who represents Rice, tells us that the decision to cancel shows came after some time of Tony trying to tough it out.

“Tony has been ill for the last several weeks. He is working with two doctors and waiting for test results.”

The road life is tough even for the hardiest soul, and as we all get older, the inconveniences and frustrations of being away from home feel amplified. Add to that being in poor health, and we can all understand the need for Tony to have some time off of to get better.

We’ll update with any other details we can learn.
