NPR has posted the entire 24 minute video of Chris Thile and Michael Daves performing live at a Tiny Desk Concert at the headquarters of NPR Music in Washington, DC.
These initially impromptu concerts have grown into a regular NPR feature, recorded at the desk of Bob Boilen, host of the network’s All Songs Considered program.
In the video, Chris and Michael perform a number of songs from their Sleep With One Eye Open CD, a collection of traditional mountain folk songs and early bluegrass favorites – a sort of Skaggs & Rice for the 21st century.
Who says that this old music has no appeal for younger musicians – or that they have nothing to say about it?
