Stolen Instrument Recovered

Tim Stafford playing his CA GuitarWe’re always glad to do what we can to help get the word out concerning stolen instruments, but saddened that a player has been parted from a beloved axe. That’s why we’re even happier to report when a stolen instrument has been recovered.

Last July we reported that Colby Laney, a student at ETSU, had a guitar stolen. The guitar was a CA guitar loaned to him by Tim Stafford. Almost exactly a year later, the instrument was recovered.

The guitar given to me by Tim Stafford exactly a year to date – today, was located today in Johnson City, TN.. at a pawn shop! The guy thought he was beating the system, but Tim was notified and obtained the guitar. The police have the details, and Tensel Sandkers GPS is in the process of being refunded as well. Tim says he is planning on using the guitar on stage now. I was lucky enough to have recieved a Rockbridge Guitar endorsement and am playing the custom guitar.

As a side note, I will be performing again with ETSU Pride Band once again this semester, my senior year, and think it will be a productive year!

Great news! The next time you catch a Blue Highway show, you may hear Tim playing the recovered instrument.
