As we mentioned on Monday, today is the day when Sam Bush fans worldwide get their first peek at Revival: The Sam Bush Story, the upcoming documentary film that chronicles the life, career, and artistic impact of the Bush man.
Filmmakers Kris Wheeler and Wayne Franklin have assembled archival footage with newly-conducted interviews and concert footage to tell the important story of one of the most dynamic and influential artists in the history of bluegrass and acoustic music.
You’ll hear the thoughts of his former New Grass Revival bandmates, along with David Grisman, Alison Krauss, Del McCoury and many others over the course of the 98 minute film, and from Sam himself.
The film is set to premiere on April 16 during the 2015 Nashville Film Festival. Tickets are on sale now to the general public.
Look for Revival: The Sam Bush Story to screen at other film festivals this year, but information about consumer or commercial release have not been announced. More details are likely to be shared on Facebook as they are released.
