Red Rock Radio to launch Upper Midwest Bluegrass

Event Details

wcmpAttention bluegrass artists in Minnesota and the upper midwest.

WCMP FM-109.9 in Pine City, MN is launching a new radio program, set to feature only regional bands. Upper Midwest Bluegrass will air on Sunday mornings, and include music from groups from that part of the country.

Brian Lee, Program Director and Production Manager for Red Rock Radio in Pine City will host, but can’t get started until he has enough recorded music from acts in the designated area. So he reached out to us for help.

“I am looking at playing only bluegrass and Gospel groups from Minnesota, South and North Dakota, Wisconsin and Iowa. This show will not air international acts, but local only.

I did a show similar to this on a station in Princeton, MN and it was a huge success. I may look at syndicating the show in the 5 state area at some point in the future as well. I won’t be able to start producing the show until I’ve received an abundance of material, (music) from groups from the upper Midwest.”

Any bands or artists in Brian’s area are invited to please send radio-quality CDs of your music for consideration on Upper Midwest Bluegrass. They can be directed to:

Best of luck with the new show!
