Podunk heads to a new home

Connecticut’s popular Podunk Bluegrass Music Festival is moving from its location in East Hartford to new digs at Dodd Stadium in Norwich this for their 2012 event, scheduled for August 2-5.

Like their longtime home in East Hartford, the new site is also a baseball stadium, which festival producer Roger Moss seems perfectly appropriate to him.

“Bluegrass, like baseball, is an American pastime so we are moving everything from the ball field at Martin Park to the diamond at Dodd.”

The Podunk Executive Board chose the new site based on a number of factors, with added parking and rough camping space chief among them.
