Two new singles are being promoted this week to bluegrass radio.
Last Thing On His Mind comes from Darin & Brooke Aldridge, and will be featured on their upcoming Gospel CD, due from Crossroads in January 2010.
Performing and recording with the husband-and wife-group is Eddie Biggerstaff on bass, Chris Bryant on banjo and Perry Woodie on resonator guitar. Darin plays guitar and shares vocal duties with Brooke, who also plays mandolin.

Also promoting a new single is Brand New Strings. The track, Merry Go Round, is from their upcoming Rural Rhythm release, No Strings Attached, which will be released February 9, 2010. This song was written by Alan Johnson, though most of the material on the new album was written within the band.
Brand New Strings is Randall Massengill on guitar, Mike Ramsey on mandolin, Tim Tipton on bass, Stuart Wyrick on banjo and Matt Leadbetter on resonator guitar. Both Ramsey and Massengill contribute lead vocals. Ron Stewart adds fiddle and producer Steve Gulley and Dale Perry add the odd harmony vocal.

This CD will also feature some innovative packaging. The first 2,500 units will be shipped in a collector’s Digipak package (no jewel case), made up to look like an actual set of guitar strings. We’ll have more on that before the release date.
