Glamping comes to Industrial Strength Bluegrass

Event Details

Industrial Strength Bluegrass

The Industrial Strength Bluegrass Summer Fest is the latest multi-day bluegrass event to add a glamping option for attendees this summer.

Glamping, i.e., “glamour camping,” is a fast-growing trend where contractors will deliver and set up a large tent at or near a music festival site, with all the amenities of home. Your heavy-duty tent will be fitted with floor rugs, memory foam beds on elevated bed frames, linens, pillows, bedding, lighting, towels, a luggage rack/bench, a side table, and two camp chairs.

Attendees selecting this option can choose either a queen or two twin beds for your tent, and all you have to do is drive up and walk in.

This has been a popular feature for years at large festivals like Stagecoach, Coachella, or Bonaroo. A number of jamgrass festivals have also implemented this for high end campers, along with special VIP ticket options for food or seating.

Industrial Strength Bluegrass festivals are built as a salute to the hardy souls who moved from the Appalachian regions north to the bigger cities following the Great Depression, and brought their love for traditional mountain music with them to places like Cincinnati or Detroit. When such a working class-themed event has added a glamping opportunity, you know it’s part of the mainstream!

The Mullins family, who run this festival, are offering a very special deal for attendees interested in glamping. They are throwing in a pair of weekend tickets to Summer Fest with every glamping reservation, valued at $300. Package choices can be viewed at iTickets.com, once you log in or register.

Traditional tent and RV camping spaces are also available near the Greene County Expo Center in Xenia, OH where the festival is held. There are also special rates on offer at the Hampton Inn in Xenia, the official host hotel for the weekend of July 16-18.

As always, the music on stage will be top notch, with shows scheduled from The Seldom Scene, Junior Sisk, Lonesome River Band, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, David Parmley, Kenny & Amanda Smith, Carson Peters & Iron Mountain, and many others.
