We’ve posted previously about Concert Window, the Boston-based live concert streaming service that makes club and theater performances available worldwide via online video.
The company was founded by a pair of Beantown musical entrepreneurs, with a passion for alternative entertainment and cutting-edge technology. Dan Gurney comes a filmmaking background and performs Celtic music on button accordion. Partner Forrest O’Connor is a Harvard sociomusicology grad with a passion for F-style mandolins. Together they have grow this venture from covering a couple of Boston clubs to showcasing folk, bluegrass, jazz, country, pop and comedy concerts at number of venues across the US.
Concert Window offers both subscription and a la carte pricing, with a monthly pass for all programs running below $10, and individual shows billing at $3 for HD video and board-feed audio. Artists and venues share in the proceeds from these fees.
This weekend’s lineup is particularly tasty for folks interested in acoustic and bluegrass music.
