Circa Blue hits the scene

Circa BlueWest Virginia’s Circa Blue has released a debut, self-titled album featuring the four members of the band with special guests Mike Auldridge and Chris Sexton.

Steve Harris is on guitar, Dave Harris on bass, Matt Hickman on banjo and Ron Webb on mandolin. Webb was faced with the unenviable task of stepping in after Circa Blue’s original mandolinist Mike McDonald died unexpectedly. The group was in the early stages of recording this album at the time, and they are thrilled that a pair of tracks with Mike’s mandolin made it to the final product.

Five of the tracks here are band originals, placed alongside songs from Gillian Welch, Norman Blake, Phil Rosenthal and Johnny Cash.
