Mountain Heart and Skaggs Family Records have announced that work on their next CD release, Wide Open, has been completed, with an anticipated release date projected for early in 2006. The band describes this new CD as especially ambitious and involving a level of production that they hope will set a new bar for bluegrass recordings. This time out, they worked with a veteran Nashville producer, Mark Bright, whose success with country artists like Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Blackhawk, and Jo Dee Messina has been measured in over 10 million CDs sold.
