Another Steep Canyon Rangers concert is set for a live cybercast this weekend, this time from the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh, NC.
The band’s show on Friday (1/20) will be offered online via live streaming by Gigstream, an outfit that specializes in making music from North Carolina venues available on the Internet. Tickets for the HD presentation are $4.99 in advance, and $5.99 the day of the show.
Rangers banjo man Graham Sharp tells us that the band is looking to expand these sorts of live concert offerings online for the shows they do “solo,” i.e., on their own, without Steve Martin. They have recently recorded a performance for daytrotter.com, which is expected to go live sometime next month.
And speaking of their shows with Martin… 2012 dates are just now being announced, with more to be added shortly.
