Keith Whitley Radio Station In The Works

Event Details

Keith WhitleyKeith Whitley has long been one of the biggest influences on aspiring bluegrass and country singers. His recordings as a member of Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys and J.D. Crowe & The New South are must-haves for bluegrass fans, and his country catalog stands near the top of the genre. Unfortunately, his life was cut short due to his crippling alcohol addiction.

In honor of Keith Whitley’s life and legacy, plans are in the works for an all Keith Whitley online radio station. That’s right, Keith Whitley 24/7! The station will not only play all of Keith’s mega hits, but will also include lesser known tunes as well as Keith Whitley covers, offered at no cost at www.keithwhitley.org.

Funds are being raised to help launch this one-of-a-kind tribute to Keith, which will be a not for profit salute to one of our music’s heroes. The fundraising campaign is being conducted through Indiegogo (similar to KickStarter). To donate or learn more, check out the pledge page online.
