News from Mountain Rain

Event Details

Mountain RainBrad Wood, mandolinist with North Carolina’s Mountain Rain, got in touch last week with several bits of news.

First off, the band has recently signed with Cedar Creek Management, and booking for shows will be handled by Susan Burrows at Cedar Creek (336 953-2814).

They have also brought in a new banjo picker, Justin Bowles, who will also handle second guitar and harmony vocals. He and Brad had worked together previously with Harvest Wind. In addition to Justin and Brad, Tommy Chandler is on guitar and Ryan Dunn on bass.

Brad says that they are working on material now for a new album, which will include several band originals.

Here’s a video of the guys covering a IIIrd Tyme Out number last Fall.
