Little Delilah from Mike Mitchell

Mountain Fever Records has a new album with fiddler, singer, and songwriter Mike Mitchell set to release next month, and have dropped another single in advance.

It’s a solid grasser from a pair of top writers called Little Delilah, a love-lost song that Mitchell says conveys a lot of meaning for him and his career.

“I first captured the spirit of this track in the front yard of a quirky Arizona Airbnb, but the roots of the song go back much further. When Jeff Daugherty told me he’d co-written it with Jon Weisberger, I knew it wasn’t just a song I wanted to record—it was a story I had to tell.

Jon was there at the very beginning, backing me during my first solo showcase at Folk Alliance. The only person in the room that day was Mark Hodges, then owner of Mountain Fever Music Group. To be releasing this music now with Mountain Fever is more than a milestone; it’s a high-octane, full-circle moment that honors where I’ve been and where we’re headed.”

Assisting on this track are Darrin Aldridge on guitar, Kristin Scott Benson on banjo, Wayne Benson on mandolin, and Tim Surrett on bass. Darrin adds harmony vocals.

Little Delilah is available now from popular download and streaming services online, and to radio programmers via AirPlay Direct.
