Pinecastle Records has released another track from last year’s Danny Paisley project, Bluegrass State of Mind.
Another Long Sleepless Night brings the lonesome, as the title suggests. Written by Rick Lang and Jon Goldfine, the song describes the desperation that accompanies heartbreak, along with the inability to rest while absorbed by the many whys and wherefores.
Danny sings it in his inimitable style, supported by his son, Ryan on tenor.
Ryan, by the way, was just re-elected to the Town Council of Clayton, DE, where he will serve as Vice Mayor. Congratulations, Ryan!
The track finds Danny singing lead, with Ryan on mandolin, Scott Vestal on banjo, Andy Leftwich on guitar and fiddle, Josh Swift on reso-guitar, and Darrin Vincent on bass.
