Wichita joins WSM

wichita on wsmWe recently reported that Into The Blue, the largest syndicated Bluegrass radio show in America, has expanded to 3 hours. Now host Terry Herd has joined WSM 650 AM in Nashville and confirms that “World Renown Podcast Superstar” Wichita Rutherford will be joining the program every Sunday night for hilarious and informative interviews with the biggest stars of Bluegrass and Country music.

Herd says,

It”s such an honor be a part of the WSM family. And having Wichita and his podcast sign on – well, that”s icing on the cake.

The 3 hour show will air at 9 PM Central every Sunday night on WSM and will be simulcast on SIRIUS Channel 111 and streamed at WSMonline.com.

Wichita was the very first podcaster to become part of any major media when he joined SIRIUS Satellite Radio about this time last year. When asked what he thought was the key to his success Wichita replied,

It doesn”t matter who or where you are, everybody loves to take a 5 minute break and laugh. And 5 minutes isn”t enough to get you in trouble at work.

As for joining Terry’s show on WSM he says,

This is a really big deal for me. I mean, they play The Grand Ole Opry on WSM! And being part of Terry Herd”s show? Well, he”s kind of “The son of WSM” in the bluegrass radio world. I”m floored.
