Trent Moody to The Briarhoppers

Trent MoodyJust two weeks after announcing that Alana Flowers had joined them on banjo, the WBT Briarhoppers now tells us that Trent Moody has officially joined the band on guitar.

Trent is the son of fellow Briarhopper Dwight Moody, who plays fiddle with the band. He also runs The Lamon Studio of Music in Mint Hill, NC which was started by his dad in 1962.

He performed for many years as a member of The Moody Brothers, taking him repeatedly to the stage of The Grand Ole Opry.

Bass player Tom Warlick completes the group, who are intent on reintroducing this 75 year old institution to the bluegrass world this season. The group was created in 1934 to produce music for WBT radio in Charlotte, NC and has remained mostly active since that time, though with multiple personnel changes.
