Sierra Hull covers Adele on CMT

CMT has released a web video of Sierra Hull performing a cover of Someone Like You, written and originally recorded by British pop songstress Adele.

In addition to her road band, Highway 111, Sierra is accompanied by Ron Block, Justin Moses, and Caleb Gilbreath. She is also seen playing the new octave mandolin she just got from Weber – with a capo on the first fret!

We asked Sierra to tell us a bit about the video…

“Someone Like You is a song from Adele’s 21 album. I first got it a few months ago and have really gotten into her music since.

The band and I had a chance to go in the studio and record and film a couple live songs from my new album, Daybreak, for CMT, as well as this cover. Adele’s version is beautiful with just her voice and piano. I really felt like it would also translate well with a big band acoustically.

The other two songs we performed live are from my album, and will premier at later dates within the next month or so.”
