Randall Massengill injured on the job

Event Details

We have just learned that Randal Massengill, guitarist with Brand New Strings, was injured earlier today at work.

Randall is a Tennessee State Trooper, in charge of accident scene investigations. Both he and his partner were struck by a moving vehicle today while working an accident scene, and were knocked on to the hood of the previously wrecked car.

They were taken to the hospital, but released without any major injuries. Looks like they escaped what could have been a deadly situation.

We’ll update with further details as we receive them.

UPDATE 6/28:  We got this note from Randall this morning:

“Surprisingly not too sore today, and hoping that continues. Both myself and the other trooper are blessed and thankful to only have bruising and scrapes.”
