Next Blue Highway CD almost done

Good news for Blue Highway fans. Tim Stafford tells us that a new album won’t be long in coming.

“The band has finished tracking all but a few vocal parts for its new project, titled Sounds of Home. We recorded again in Big Stone Gap, VA at Maggard Sound with Jim Price at the controls.

This time there are no outside guests on the CD, just us, and we cut 11 original songs and one P.D. number, Nobody’s Fault But My Own, which features a haunting Shawn Lane fiddle/vocal.

This is our ninth record and fifth for Rounder, not including the compilation, Some Day: A Fifteenth Anniversary Celebration. Rounder is saying the release date will be late Summer or early Fall, depending on when we get everything done.

After 16 years of playing together, it’s kinda hard sometimes to get excited about things, but we’re excited about this record!”

Me too, Lester!
