News from The Toy Hearts

Toy Hearts in France during EWOB 2008UK contemporary bluegrass band The Toy Hearts, who were the subject of a cover story in the December edition of British Bluegrass News, passed along a few bits of news.

After several months offline, the band is very excited to announce that their brand new and improved website is finally fully online. Guitarist and harmony singer in the five-piece group Sophia Johnson, is swift to give credit where it is due …..

“A great big thank you goes out to Simon Flatres for his hard work and patience over the website! You did a very fine job!”

Typically, there is information on gigs and releases, reviews, biographies of band members and photographs. Also while there, you can watch videos of the band, hear music samples, purchase both of their albums and sign up for their mailing list.

However, according to Ms. Johnson, the most exciting news for the band is that their now well-loved live favourite and DJ’s choice, The Angels Sing to Me, is featured on the January release of Prime Cuts Of Bluegrass.

“The Johnsons are very pleased to be getting their music heard across the pond, hopefully played on some bluegrass stations and look forward to increasing their connections and fans in the USA.”

Andy Falco, of the Infamous Stringdusters and a good friend of The Toy Hearts, provided advice regarding the radio mix.
