New Gospel album from Mike Scott

Mike Scott is known to most bluegrass fans as a banjo picker, having spent lengthy stints with Danny Davis & The Nashville Brass, Jim & Jesse and Ronnie Reno. But Scott is also a talented vocalist and songwriter with a number of solo albums to his credit.

His latest is Take Me Lord and Use Me, set for release tomorrow (2/22) on Rural Rhythm Christian. It features Mike on banjo and vocals along with contributions from Sonya Isaacs, Carl Jackson, Shelton Feazell, Vince Gill, Claire Lynch, Jesse McReynolds, Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, and Buck White.

The first single, Since I Laid My Burdens Down, was written and performed by Mike and his wife Brenda
