Margie Sullivan hospitalized

Enoch and Margie SullivanWe have learned that Margie Sullivan, of The Sullivan Family, is hospitalized in Mobile, AL after suffering a massive heart attack on Monday evening.

Margie and her husband Enoch have been performing and recording bluegrass Gospel in the southern US for 60 years, touching thousands of people with their music over their career. They have the distinction of having giving a young Marty Stuart his first professional job in the 1970s.

Margie had been holding up to the family’s road schedule, despite not feeling well for some time, including a show this past Sunday in Montgomery, AL.

Dean Osborne tells us that she seems poised to recover nicely…

“As of late last night, Ms. Margie had made significant progress in her recovery to the point of sitting up, eating and even asking for a cup of coffee. Brother Enoch and the family would like to thank all for their prayers. He said it was nothing short of a miracle because when the arrived at the hospital in Jackson, she was in full cardiac arrest. The doctors quick action there helped get her stabilized and on to Mobile.”
