Life Goes On video from MACC

Life Goes OnRural Rhythm has released a music video for the title track from Life Goes On, the second all-star recording from Musicians Against Childhood Cancer. The album captures live performances at the MACC festival between 2006 and 2011, where artists donate their time to benefit the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Life Goes On (the song) is the sole exception, recorded in the studio to be included with the live tracks. Darrell Adkins, with his wife Phyllis, have managed the festival as a fundraiser since losing their daughter to brain cancer in 2000. The Adkinses felt that this song perfectly captured the sense of loss and memory that they experience, and wanted to include it on the record.

It was written by Dale Pyatt and Steve Thomas, and keeping with the all-star vibe of the album, features a bevy of top Nashville vocalists taking turns on the lead. In the video you’ll see (and hear) Larry Cordle, Jerry Salley, Carl Jackson, Rickey Wasson, and Ronnie Bowman.

You can see a complete track and artist list from the project at Amazon.com.
