Lazy John video from Jayme Stone

Event Details

Jayme Stone's Lomax ProjectTo mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of folklorist and field recordist Alan Lomax, Jayme Stone has released a song from his upcoming album that celebrates and recreates the traditional music of the Americas.

The song is Lazy John, one actually written by Lomax after being inspired by the great Fats Domino. Jayme and company give it a light-hearted calypso feel.

Here it is in a graphic video. Stone is on banjo with Margaret Glaspy singing, Brittany Haas on fiddle, Julian Lage on guitar, Joe Phillips on bass, and Nick Fraser on drums

Look for Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project on March 3 from Borealis Records.
