IBMA 2005 in Nashville – Day 1

The first day of IBMA’s World Of Bluegrass 2005 is largely done, and as in prior years, Monday served as a warm up for the busier parts of the week to come. The morning hours saw attendees arriving and checking in from all over the world, while exhibitors frantically set up displays, and professional members of IBMA attended a variety of seminars designed to help them further their careers in the bluegrass business.

We set up our mini-studio for Bluegrass Today in the back of the AcuTab exhibit booth, where we will be recording audio interviews throughout the week for future podcast release. Interviews are already scheduled with a wide range of bands, artists, instrument builders, educators, and merchandisers and we are especially excited that many are with folks from outside the US – some traveling to IBMA for the first time.

Brance and I ran into a great many people today, and we’ll share some of the news we picked up as the evening, and the week, progresses. We also will have some photos up shortly of some of today’s events.
