After four years, Gospel on the Farm, hosted by the Gospel Plowboys and located in central North Carolina, is changing venue sites for their festival slated for this Saturday, June 6.
Plowboys lead singer and guitarist, Michael Jenkins explained.
“A couple of years ago Andrew and Angie Culp approached us about hosting our event on their farm in Gold Hill, North Carolina. At the time, we were still using Troy Reavis’s property at Almost Heaven Farm on the other side of Gold Hill. However, with Troy’s recent passing, we found ourselves searching for a new location.
We immediately reached out to the Culp family at Elm Grove Farm and they were excited about the opportunity to host the event. Elm Grove Farm is located just a short distance from our original location, and we believe it will be perfect for this year’s festival. We’ll have a food truck and a couple dessert trucks on site.
We’re also thrilled about this year’s lineup! Of course, The Gospel Plowboys will be performing, along with Eighteen Mile, Carson Peters & Iron Mountain, and we’re really excited to welcome Authentic Unlimited to the stage. It’s going to be a great day of music, fellowship, and fun. Bring a chair, kick back, relax, and enjoy the day with us!”
Gospel on the Farm’s new venue at Elm Grove Farm’s address is 1300 Culp Road, Gold Hill, NC 28071. Gates open at 10:30 a.m., opening ceremonies begin at 11:45 with Eighteen Mile kicking off the day of bluegrass gospel music at noon, and returning to the stage at 4:00. The music continues with Carson Peters & Iron Mountain at 1:00 and 5:00 p.m., Authentic Unlimited at 2:00 and 6:00, and concludes with the Gospel Plowboys at 3:00 and 7:00 pm.
Admission is by donation, accepted at the gate or on the Gospel Plowboys website.
