G2 signs with MTA: Jens Koch, Hilda Sandgren, Tommi Rasmussen, Erik IgelströmSwedish grassers G2 have announced that they are now represented by MTA Production in Stockholm.

The company has grown since its founding in 2000 into a full-service agency handling booking, management, tour logistics and publicity, and product marketing. They will handle touring for G2 worldwide.

MTA founder Hilda Sandgren tells us that the band offered them the ideal opportunity to broaden their horizons.

“When signing G2, we decided to take the next step in our international vision – to work globally. Up until now we’ve had almost all our focus on the Nordic market.

Bluegrass is a genre that we have been aiming to represent for a long time, we were just waiting to find the right band and the right conditions.”

And Tommi Rasmussen, who will be their agent with MTA, says that…

“We’ve had an eye and an ear on the band for the last 3 years. G2 are an exciting group, great musicians with one foot in the tradition and one foot in the future, writing their own material and providing great stage shows.

We are in an expanding phase in our company, and our international network is growing every day. Now is the perfect time for us to start working together.

We have great expectations for the band, and are very happy to say we’re representing them worldwide, including the US.”

The band plans to spend some time in the States again this summer, returning again early next year to record their next album in Nashville.
