Rounder is giving away a free track from the upcoming Steeldrivers release, Hammer Down, due to hit on February 5.
This is their first recording with the latest iteration of the band, with Gary Nichols on guitar and lead vocals, Tammy Rogers on fiddle, Richard Bailey on banjo, Mike Fleming on bass and Brent Truitt on mandolinist.
The free track is I’ll Be There, co-written by Nichols and John Paul White, formerly with The Civil Wars. Here’s a quick taste:
