ETSU Pride Band single release

Event Details

Did You Hear Me Say Goodbye - ETSU Pride BandThe ETSU Pride Band, made up of select students in the school’s Bluegrass, Country & Old Time Music program, have a new single set for a November 1 release. Written by one of the members, it was recorded and will be promoted by the band as part of the school’s mission to prepare students in the program for a career in the bluegrass industry upon graduation.

Did You Hear Me Say Goodbye was written by the group’s bass player, Max Etling and his father, after losing his grandfather a few years ago. It deals with the pain and sense of loss we all feel when loved ones pass away.

ETSU put this video tease together to introduce the Pride Band members, and offer a taste of the single which is going out now to bluegrass radio.

I saw them perform this song during World of Bluegrass week in Raleigh, and the band sounded terrific. A real credit to the program, with special kudos to fiddler Aynsley Porchak who is a bluegrass star in the making. In addition to Max and Aynsley, the group consists of Aaron “Frosty” Foster on guitar, Troy Boone on mandolin, and Brady Wallen on banjo.

The track will be available for digital download sale on November 1, and can be downloaded now by radio programmers at Airplay Direct.
