Rock Ridge is a new group in Northern California, with a debut CD to share.
Drifter’s Prayer is their first release, spearheaded by Rick and Josie Grant. He’s on mandolin and she’s on guitar, with both trading off on lead and harmony vocals. They are assisted by Jon Schaffer on bass and Victor Skidanenko on banjo.
Rick also maintains a home studio, where the album was recorded.
The selections on Drifter’s Prayer mix secular and Gospel bluegrass, with a few originals among the tracks. Audio samples for all 11 can be found online.
