David Davis on Alabama Arts

David DavisDavid Davis was interviewed recently by Alabama Arts Radio for a broadcast on August 23.

The wide-ranging discussion with Deborah Boykin includes his memories of The Louvin Brothers, Charlie Monroe and his uncle Cleo Davis, who played with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys in the late 1930s before Monroe had fully developed his new sound.

They also talk about the latest CD from David and The Warrior River Boys, Two Dimes and a Nickel, released this past May on Rebel Records, and spin a couple of tracks.

The show will air on WTSU (Troy University Radio) this Sunday, but is available now online.
