Dale Ann video shoot

Compass Records sent along a few behind-the-scenes photos from a video shoot last week for Dale Ann Bradley. It will result in a music video for Come Home Good Boy, the first single from her upcoming Somewhere South Of Crazy CD, due on August 20. The video, due for a late August release, will also feature on-screen performances by Dale Ann’s vocal collaborators Sierra Hull and Steve Gulley.

The scene was Carnton Plantation in Franklin, TN, a former Civil War Army hospital that was converted from a family home. Footage captured on the site will be combined with photos of military men provided by the Fort Campbell Wives Club, the Army Wives Network, and Go Army Wives. Joseph Spence directed.

Come Home Good Boy is a mother’s plaintive plea for her son to make it back safe from war, sent along with words of confidence and encouragement, inspired by the story of a young man who didn’t return from Viet Nam.

It will be fun to see if we can recognize these images in the final video.
