Chris Thile video contest on YouTube

Event Details

As we have mentioned many times this past few months, the new CD from Chris Thile, How To Grow A Woman From The Ground, is officially released today.

To help promote the CD, Sugar Hill Records is sponsoring a video contest, with an iPod Nano loaded with Chris’ music as the Grand Prize.

Here’s the basic thrust of the contest: you create a music video for any song from the new project, and post it on YouTube. The video with the most views between now and Thanksgiving Day will be the winner.

You must also notify Sugar Hill of your YouTube posting, and the details and requirements are quite specific, so read their instructions and contest rules carefully.

Side Thile-related note: We recorded a terrific interview with Chris yesterday, which will be posted as a GrassCast later today. He talked at some length about the new CD, and his determination to be more involved (post Nickel Creek) with music that is closer to his bluegrass roots.

Look for it here in a few hours.
