The February issue of the UK based magazine Acoustic, features an interview with mandolin master Chris Thile. Chris in nominated for a BBC Folk Award for Musician of the Year. The article is basically an interview where Chris shares his take on playing live music centered around the mandolin.
The awards show for the 2007 BBC Folk Awards will be held at The Brewery in London on Monday, February 5, 2007. Thile is one of many artists scheduled to perform at the event. The awards are sponsored by BBC Radio 2 and it seems probably they will broadcast the show and make it available for online listening as well. I was unable to find reference to it in their show schedule however.
