Brent Burke joins The Rage

Rhonda Vincent has added reso-guitarist Brent Burke to The Rage, her touring and recording band. In addition to this stellar credential, Burke is also set for the distinction of becoming the very first graduate or ETSU’s new Bachelor of Arts program in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies at the Fall 2011 commencement ceremony.

Vincent’s two daughters are also students in the BOTCM department, and no doubt helped their mom recognize this young man’s abilities.

Rhonda spares no superlative in welcoming Brent to the band.

“We are so excited to have Brent join the band. I am amazed by his incredible talent. Brent Burke is the next Jerry Douglas!”

She is also celebrating the release of a new single today (11/22), When You’re Holding Me, the concluding track from her current CD, Taken, which will be included on a newly revised and remastered edition of the album due in mid-December. Burke and his reso-guitar are included on this new edition.

Rhonda is also marking the 10th Anniversary of fiddler (and son-in-law) Hunter Berry’s tenure with her band this month. Tip for Brent: marry Tensel for absolute job security!

Be on the lookout for an all-Gospel CD/DVD from Rhonda and the Rage in 2012. They are in the studio now putting on the finishing touches.
