Banks Of The Ohio Festival in Louisville, KY

Event Details

Even though the IBMA Fan Fest has moved to Nashville, there will still be a major bluegrass festival in downtown Louisville, starting next March. The debut of the Banks Of The Ohio Bluegrass Festival will occur March 24-26, 2006 in the newly renovated Galt House, previous home of the IBMA World Of Bluegrass and Fan Fest events.

A number of bluegrass headliners have already been booked, including Cherryholmes, JD Crowe & the New South, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Mountain Heart, Audie Blaylock & Redline, Mike Cleveland’s Flamekeeper Band and the Dale Ann Bradley Band. The organizers say that the changes at The Galt House will not only allow them to keep bluegrass in Louisville, but also provide a great place for jamming and a beautiful spot for a festival.
