Chris Hart’s dobros returned

Event Details

Chris Hart with his pre war Norwood chimesWell here’s a piece of good news.

Last week we reported the theft of a pair of reso-guitars from Chris Hart in Rustburg, VA. One was an irreplaceable prewar Norwood chimes, and the other a newer Redline covergirl model.

To make the loss sting even more, Chris’ house was burgled while he was attending a memorial service for his friend and fellow central Virginia grasser, Wade Cox.

We just heard again from Chris, who tells us that his guitars have been found, and that the person he had initially suspected of taking them indeed had. It looks like all involved will be prosecuted.

Hart wants to share his appreciation with all the folks who supported him in his efforts to spread the word about the theft.

“I want to thank you and everyone else who helped by getting this story out there. The bluegrass community has always been there to help each other out. I just want to say God bless everyone for their help.”

Just over a week and the guitars are back home where they belong. Well done all!
