The Chapmans with their YouTube Silver Award for The Acoustic Shoppe

The Chapmans with their YouTube Silver Creator Award for The Acoustic Shoppe videos

The Acoustic Shoppe in Springfield, Missouri, owned and operated by the Chapman brothers, has achieved a major accomplishment as content creators. This month, they received a Silver Creator Award from YouTube by crossing the 100,000-subscriber milestone.

We first wrote about the grand opening of the Acoustic Shoppe in May 2013, when the Chapmans established a music store as home base while not touring as a band, as they have done with their dad for decades. Since that time, they have developed a large online presence, with nearly 80 percent of their sales coming from purchases made through the world wide web.

A quick YouTube profile search shows they created their business account in late October 2015. Since that time, they have published over 3,100 YouTube videos with approximately 39,704,141 views and counting. Their content is geared toward entertaining customers and helping them make informed decisions about music gear, ranging from guitars, mandolins, banjos, accessories, and more.

Receiving a Silver Creator Award is an impressive social media achievement. Creators with this acknowledgement are in the top percentage of all influencers, most of which are full-time entertainers – not local retail businesses. To celebrate, the Chapmans have released an exclusive interview with one of their largest celebrity customers. Emmy and Tony Award winning actor and songwriter Jeff Daniels is not only a well-known actor for his roles in The Newsroom and Dumb and Dumber, he is also a Martin guitar enthusiast.

Daniels appears as a guest on a new episode of the store’s podcast, The Acoustic Shoppe Knows People. In the interview, he discusses his beloved 1934 Martin C-2, his work as a songwriter, and how his search for a humidification control system for his guitar led him to the Acoustic Shoppe. As with all of the Acoustic Shoppe’s podcast episodes, the interview with Daniels is available as a video on YouTube and Spotify, and as audio on Apple Podcasts and several other platforms.

Congratulations to the Chapmans and the Acoustic Shoppe for earning the YouTube Silver Play Button!
