Rural Rhythm and Blue Highways TV

In our Monday post about Rural Rhythm Records moving their operation from Los Angeles to Nashville, company President Sam Passamano alluded to some new media opportunities for their artists that would be announced soon.

Soon was right. Rural Rhythm announced yesterday that it would be partnering with Nashville-based BlueHighways TV in a joint marketing and promotional campaign. BlueHighways TV, an independent television network delivered to millions of homes via cable, satellite and broadband, was developed and nurtured by Ronnie Reno and Stan Hitchcock. It got started in 2003 and currently provides original programming from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., 7 days a week, based on the culture, food, music and lifestyles of people in communities all across the US.

In this new agreement, Rural Rhythm artists will have opportunities for HD television specials on BlueHighways TV, and in turn will promote the network and educate their audiences about what they offer through their many live concerts. BHTV will also be airing music videos from Rural Rhythm, and offering guest spots on their many music programs to RR acts like Lonesome River Band, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Michael Martin Murphey, Grasstowne, Audey Blaylock, Bobby Osborne and many others.

Stan Hitchcock, Chairman and CEO of BlueHighways TV, sees this as a perfect match.

“It is satisfying when two companies in a companion industry can see the benefit of mutual promotion to reach a common goal. BHTV and Rural Rhythm are both linked to roots music fans throughout the nation, and with this new partnership, we can continue to spread the word about BlueHighways TV’s roots music programming, including the new features with Rural Rhythm artists.”

You can find a list of cable and satellite providers who offer BlueHighways TV online.
