Ronnie Bowman and Dan Tyminski on tour

Bluegrass heavyweights and former Lonesome River Bandmates Dan Tyminski and Ronnie Bowman will be touring together this spring and summer. The two have long been known for how well their voices blend and complement each others, and have not performed together regularly since the LRB days.

Ronnie told us yesterday that, for now, the two will be appearing as a duo, though they haven’t ruled out adding other musicians for certain shows.

The first string of dates are set for later this month with a swing through the mid-Atlantic states.

  • May 21 – Spring Gulch Folk Festival: New Holland, PA
  • May 22 – Rams Head Tavern: Annapolis, MD
  • May 23 – B.B. King’s: New York, NY

Tyminski is back with Alison Krauss & Union Station full time, but does have a couple of remaining dates with the Dan Tyminski Band this season – this weekend (5/14) at Bloomin’ BBQ & Bluegrass festival in Sieverville, TN and in August at the Blue Waters Bluegrass Festival in Washington state.

Bowman works primarily as a songwriter these days, and has achieved some richly deserved success in Nashville writing country music.

Just for fun, here’s Dan and Ronnie with LRB back in 1993.

Tour information will be updated as new dates are added on both Ronnie and Dan’s web sites. Keith Case is representing them for these shows.
