One of the hottest bluegrass video projects of the past year has been Rhonda Vincent & The Rage’s Ragin’ Live. Released simultaneously on DVD and audio CD in March of 2005, Ragin’ Live captured Rhonda and the band in a live performance at The Sheldon Concert Hall in her native state of Missouri.
Folks who don’t have a copy of the DVD will be able to watch it starting tonight, when the concert begins airing on more than 60 PBS television affiliates all over the US. The full DVD featured 23 songs, taken mostly from her recent recordings, and includes Kentucky Borderline, Jolene, One Step Ahead Of The Blues among the many others. I’m not sure if the full length DVD will be shown on PBS, or whether it has been edited for length.
