RAC becomes Belfry Fellows

Presto chango! Rockin’ Acoustic Circus is now Belfry Fellows.

The band has decided to effect a name change to go along with their new musical direction following some major personnel changes late last year. What began as a group of teen grassers in Oklahoma under the adult supervision of veteran musician Rick Morton is now a Nashville-based quartet that plays driving acoustic music that is more bluegrass-influenced than strictly grassy.

Morton left the group in November, as did vocalist/cellist Emma Hardin when the other remembers contemplated the move to Music City, so the rest of the band, and newest member Rachel Baiman on fiddle, decided that a new name seemed best for an act with a new identity.

But let’s have them explain the name change in their own words…

Here’s a taste of their new sound.

Belfry Fellows will continue to be represented by Mike Drudge at Class Act Entertainment.
