Niall Toner at IBMA

Irish bluegrass singer/songwriter Niall Toner joined us for a chat during World of Bluegrass last month in Nashville. He was here in the US for IBMA week, and to perform a number of shows in conjunction with the release of his new Pinecastle project, Onward & Upward.

He talked about his experience at IBMA over the years, his initial introduction to bluegrass music as a young man in the person of Bill Monroe, and the song he wrote to honor Big Mon’s legacy, William Smith Monroe.
