New faces in Avery County

Travers Chandler has announced the addition of two new members to his band, Avery County.

John Bryan has joined the group playing guitar and singing high lead, as has banjo player Tom Isaacs, who will also contribute some fiddle.

Chandler, who makes no bones about his insistence on performing nothing but hardcore, traditional bluegrass, plays mandolin and sings, with his wife Jessica on bass and vocals.

“These fellows are from the Boone, NC area and are the real deal. I havent been this excited maybe ever in playing music. They pull the sound even further in the old school way, and we are thrilled.”

Bryan and Isaacs will be featured on the upcoming Avery County album, which is expected later this year from Mountain Fever Records.
