Mike Lantz passes

Event Details

We are saddened to pass along the news that Mike Lantz, who was a co-founder of the popular Colorado-based band Front Range, passed away on Wednesday, March 29. According to the web site of his fellow Front Ranger, Bob Amos, Mike passed peacefully with family and friends by his side. He had been diagnosed with a brain tumor just over a year ago, and despite aggressive treatment with both radiation and chemotherapy, the cancer continued to progress, and a decision was reached in February of this year to discontinue treatment. Mike is survived by his wife, Vona, and we extend our condolences to her and all Mike’s many friends and family members.

A memorial concert is scheduled for May 21, 2006 at Denver’s Swallow Hill Music Association. There are also plans to create a scholarship in Mike’s name, and details should be available as they are finalized on Bob Amos’ site.
